Bookies take a flurry of bets on snow in April

| 14.04.2016

Bookmaker Coral is braced for snowfall this weekend following a flurry of bets this morning. The firm is taking bets on where it will snow this week, making Scotland the even money favourite, ahead of Newcastle at 3-1, and Manchester 10-1, while London is much bigger at 20-1.

Coral make it 10-1 that Britain endures the coldest April on record, while it’s 8-1 that it is the hottest.

“Taking bets on snow in April is a rarity but with residents in Cumbria and Northumberland experiencing snow already, punters are betting on the wintry conditions spreading to other parts of the country before the week is out,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
