Minding backed for Irish Champion Stakes Success

| 30.08.2016
CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

The multiple Group One winning filly Minding has attracted support for the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes today, and is now 5-2 (from 11-4) second favourite with Coral for the Leopardstown showpiece.  Harzand remains favourite for the race but is eased to 9-4 (from 2-1), while Qemah is 7-4 (from 2-1) for the Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes, another potential target for Minding, the 6-4 (from 11-10) favourite.

“Minding has a choice of engagements during Irish Champions weekend, but having dominated the fillies’ division this summer, some punters clearly believe she could take on – and beat – the colts next month,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Elsewhere, Seven Heavens remains 16-1 with Coral for the QIPCO 2,000 Guineas, after the son of Frankel was an easy winner at Goodwood this afternoon.

“At odds of 1-10, Seven Heavens won as expected at Goodwood, but he has clearly inherited plenty of his sire’s talent, and is currently the shortest priced son of Frankel in the ante post list for next year’s 2,000 Guineas,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
