In-form Wonder worth a wager in Maiden Stayers Final

T3 Camps Wonder is in the form of her life at present and rates a solid bet to land the 575m Maiden Stayers Final at 21:24 on tonight’s card at Romford screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250).

Paul Young’s bitch has won her last three starts and has made a seamless transition to six bends in the last two of those to score by an average of just under 3 1/2 lengths.

On each occasion she has been quickly away and produced sectionals of 3.79 and 3.80 to make all and score in style.

Camps Wonder is also three from five when wearing the white jacket and looks ideally housed to ping out and register another trap-to-line success.

Mario has a super chance

In the 400m Maiden Final (21:06), T2 Vedfield Mario looks ideally drawn to land the spoils.

Ernie Gaskin’s youngster made an impressive winning debut over course and distance in last week’s heats, showing plenty of early pace to lead at the first and draw clear to score by two lengths.

It was a most taking display which suggested the son of Blackstone Gene needed keeping firmly onside and he looks better drawn than kennel mate and main market rival Whatsapper in Trap 5.

Whatsapper would definitely prefer to be drawn closer to the fence and a slick start can see Vedfield Mario boss the rails early doors and escape any possible bother to quickly establish a race winning lead.

Rio Rialto ready to rock

T4 Rio Rialto looked an unlucky loser when runner-up over course and distance nine days ago and can gain compensation in the opening heat of the 400m Standard (21:40).

Danny Roridan’s dog was slowly away from Trap 2, allowing eventual winner T1 Toot Hill Wizard to get first run, before throwing down a strong late challenge to be beaten just 3/4 of a length.

It was a cracking effort given how the race panned out and Rio Rialto now looks drawn to gain his revenge.

The son of Droopys Jet is unbeaten at the venue in two runs from the black jacket and the switch back to the middle can see him start much slicker and prove too strong at the business end of affairs.

Pass To Go drawn to deliver

T6 Pass to Go has some solid form over course and distance and can capitalise on what looks a peach of a draw to land heat 2 of the 400m Standard (21:56).

Bob Patterson’s charge has won seven of his 34 starts at the track and boasts a healthy 25 per cent strike when sporting the striped jacket.

He was very impressive on his penultimate outing when quickly away and slamming Toot Hill Wizard by 5 1/4 lengths and lost little in defeat last week when third to that rival.

As the sole wide seed in the line-up he should gets acres of space to operate on the run to the crucial first bend and if turning in front is going to be a very tough nut to crack.

Romford best bets

21:06 T2 Vedfield Mario
21:24 T3 Camps Wonder (NAP)
21:40 T4 Rio Rialto (NB)
21:56 T6 Pass To Go
