Harlow best bets: Mays Fiddlefadle can power to glory in Stayers
Mays Fiddlefadle hot stuff in Harlow best bets
T6 Mays Fiddlefadle looks to have a plot draw in the 592m Stayers Open on tonight’s card at Harlow, screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250), and rates a solid bet to get back to winning ways.
Pam Dolby’s bitch is three from six at the track and has a 50 per cent strike rate when sporting the stripes.
The daughter of Godsend comes into the race in good form and looked an unlucky loser last time out when getting crowded on three occasions, before storming home to be beaten just a length by the re-opposing T2 Philidolly.
Given how the race panned out it was a cracking effort and, as the sole wide seed, Mays Fiddfadle looks ideally housed to hold her pitch to the first bend.
If doing so she can then exploit any possible crowding on her inside to kick in the turbo mid-race and gain her revenge on Philidolly.
Caia to prove too Swift for rivals
In the 415m Maiden Open (19:39), T1 Swift Caia looks cracking value to land the spoils. Jason Foster’s son of Razldazl George is on a long losing run having not scored since landing an A3 contest at Wimbledon back in March.
However, he has been mixing it in slightly better company than he faces tonight and has run well on previous visits to the venue.
They include when runner-up in an Open contest where Swift Caia clocked 26.35. That time sets the standard in this line-up and, as the sole rail runner, he should get acres of space on the run to the first bend and holds every chance of turning in front to play catch me if you can.
Talltrees Lady fancied to complete four-timer
T1 Talltrees Lady is in the form of her life at present and can get the better of old rival Lemon Diamond to land the 238m Sprint Open (20:10).
Tommy Batchelor’s bitch has a tremendous strike rate at the track, having won nine of her 19 starts, and comes into the race on the back of three straight wins.
In the last of those she flashed from the lids to make all and beat T4 Lemon Diamond by 1 3/4 lengths. If trapping in similar fashion there is no reason why Talltrees Lady should not confirm the form.
Different View drawn to deliver
T1 Different View can put his track knowledge to good use to land the 592m Maiden Stayers Open (20:42).
The Keith Crew trained son of Kinloch Brae is a three-time winner at the venue over 415m, all when wearing the red jacket, and has posted several solid efforts over this trip.
They include when runner-up in a time of 36.05 and he was also far from disgraced last week from Trap 3 when chasing home Always A King after getting a couple of hefty bumps.
The return to Trap 1 is a big plus and a reproduction of the aforementioned 36.05 run should be good enough to see Different View get his head back in front.
Harlow best bets:
