Rumour Reel: Arsenal renew interest in Wolfsburg’s wantaway winger Draxler
Coral’s rumour reel
The January transfer window is quickly approaching and many Premier League sides are relentlessly planning ahead with outlined targets for the winter period.
This includes Arsenal among others, with the Gunners seeking a new attacking recruit as part of Coral’s latest rumour reel for November 24th.
So read on to see who is going where in the coming months below…
Arsenal target Draxler again
Arsene Wenger’s Gunners have been put on red alert after one of their long-term targets outlined intentions of departing his current employers in the near future recently.
Wolfsburg wideman and Germany international starlet Julian Draxler has long been on the London club’s radar, but has given them renewed hope of securing his signature after admitting he sees his future away from his homeland.
The 23-year-old arrived at Wolfsburg from Schalke last year for £25m, finding the target nine times in his 35 appearances during his maiden season there but has struggled to regain his form this current campaign amid speculation of a high-profile move.
Talented Germany midfielder Draxler is also reportedly being tracked by Italian giants Juventus, though the Gunners are keen to finally land their man potentially in the January transfer window next year.
Man Utd hit with Belotti blow
Manchester United have had promising Torino frontman Andrea Belotti on their list of targets for some time now, but Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils are set to be given a blow in their reported pursuit.
The 22-year-old Italy international hitman has struck 10 times in 11 outings so far this term but is on the verge of agreeing a new deal at his current employers, which would see his buy-out clause reach an astronomical £80m.
With such a price-tag subsequently set to put Man Utd off trying to capture the highly-rated striker, they may have to turn attentions elsewhere, with Belotti’s future seemingly being cleared up.
Although, Mourinho could yet make a swoop for the Torino talent before any such deal is agreed in Turin, with the Portuguese tactician rating his target very highly.
