Leeds beat Birmingham
The Blues are an easy side to oppose at the minute and have lost three of their last four league goes, including 4-1 to lowly QPR on their penultimate start. Leeds are pushing hard for a play-off finish and will fancy their chances of a dramatic return to the Premier League in the summer. They are unbeaten in three and scored a massive win over Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday. Our 6/4 on The Peacocks looks massive.
Tranmere beat Chester
Rovers are flying high in the National League, and will be playing League Two football next term, that much looks nailed on. All that’s left to be decided is how they will go up, and a win over Chester on Friday night would move them up into second in the table, just two points off league leaders, and FA Cup heroes, Lincoln. They are unbeaten in four, and should do the business again at even money.
Real Sociedad beat Real Betis
We stick our noses into goings on in La Liga, where Betis host Sociedad in front of the Sky Sports cameras. An away win would strengthen The Royals’ bid for a top-five finish. Sociedad beat Betis 1-0 in the reverse of this fixture, and have won each of the last two meetings between these sides. They look well worth a go for the hat-trick, especially with Betis winning just one of their last seven. 9/5 makes perfect sense to me.
RB Leipzig beat Augsburg
Free-spending Leipzig are second in Bundesliga and can get a jump on leaders Bayern Munich here. They refuse to go away and a Friday win would pour the pressure on and move them to within two points of pole position. They have won their last two, while their opponents have lost two of their last three. The favourites at 5/6.
Bordeaux beat Lyon
The bold call of the lot, and we are siding with home comforts in this massive clash from the French Ligue 1. Fifth plays fourth, and there’s just four points between the pair going in. Bordeaux have been more consistent of late however, and go looking for three wins in-a-row, while Lyon have lost half of their last six. 21/10 gives us something great to aim for.
