Ryan Moore’s Lincoln near-miss saves bookies millions

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

BUT PUNTERS STILL HAVE PLENTY TO CHEER…

Plenty of Coral customers were celebrating this weekend, following Ryan Moore’s treble at Doncaster on Saturday.  The three winners paid accumulative odds at SP of 575-1, while at Coral’s advertised prices at 8.30am on the day, the treble paid even more, at 959-1.  Moore then took the mount of Oh This Is Us in the Lincoln, the pairing backed into 7-2 favouritism before finishing a neck second to Bravery.

Among those celebrating before the Lincoln were Coral customers in the following locations:

Hove, East Sussex  – £5 win patent (£35 staked) on Tupi, Ballet Concerto and Kool Kompany all at SP – returning £4,045

Southfield, Letchworth – £10 ew Treble (£20 staked) on Tupi 8/1, Ballet Concerto 10/1 and Kool Kompany 10/1 – returning £11,163

Harold Wood, Essex – £2.50 ew Trixie (£20 staked) on Tupi, Ballet Concerto and Kool Kompany at SP – returning £2,053.60

Coral’s David Stevens said:  “While many more punters picked up significant winnings thanks to Moore, victory for the jockey in the Lincoln would have seen us pay out life-changing sums to several, with a customer in Godalming, Surrey, enduring the biggest near-miss, his each-way four-fold worth £264,407 had Oh This Is Us held on.”

“There were many more similar bets struck across the UK, and so while the treble was still great news for plenty of punters, a fourth Moore winner would have resulted in one of the greatest days ever for our customers.”

*The four-fold would have paid 10,560-1 at Coral’s advertised prices at 8.30am, compared to the SP odds of 2,591-1.

The near-misses included the following:
