Punters collect on Queen’s hay on day four at Royal Ascot

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

Punters were left delighted on day four of Royal Ascot as leading bookmaker Coral has paid out on blue (2/1), green (6-1) and turquoise (7/1) as there was confusion over the shade of Her Majesty’s hat.

Coral has opened betting on what the Queen will wear tomorrow afternoon where purple is the 3-1 favourite, orange is 4-1 and peach can be backed at 5-1.

“There was a debate in our office about the colour of the Queen’s hat so if we are unclear, the best thing we can do is pay out on blue, green and turquoise as we don’t want to leave any punters disappointed,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“The early money is on the Queen to wear Purple on the final day of what has been a fantastic Royal Ascot this year,” added Hill.
