Bet of the Day: Chelsea to outscore Hull City in both halves

| 16.02.2018

Blues good value to breeze past Tigers

Chelsea returned to winning ways with a 3-0 rout of West Bromwich Albion on Monday night. And they’re likely to chalk up a similarly comfortable victory when Championship strugglers Hull City visit for Friday’s FA Cup fifth round tie.

The Blues have beaten Hull in each of the last six meetings, and despite mixed form of late have remained strong at Stamford Bridge.  In fact, they’ve won two of their last three home games by a three-goal margin.

As for the visitors, they’ve lost five of their last seven games away from home. With the Tigers just a point above the drop zone, Nigel Adkins may rest players for Tuesday’s clash with Middlesbrough.

Whatever the visitors’ line-up, they’re unlikely to have any joy against a side who’ve outscored the opposition in both halves in three of their last six matches. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Chelsea to Win Both Halves at 29/20.

Hazard to spell trouble for Hull backline

Eden Hazard has been the Blues’ star performer this season, especially in recent weeks. The Belgian has scored six times in as many games ahead of this clash.

Hazard to Score Anytime is 7/10. But while he’s likely to come good on those odds, the best value on the 26-year-old looks to lie elsewhere.

Having broken the deadlock in three of those games, Hazard to be First Goalscorer at 13/5 could prove popular. Meanwhile, backing the Belgian to Score 2 or More Goals also looks a good call at 13/5.

Hosts to race into an early lead

The Blues have scored in the first 10 minutes in two of their last six games – against Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion. A repeat of that feat looks backable against a poor Tigers side, with Time of 1st Chelsea Goal: 1-10 available at odds of 21/5.

A safer but smart option could be Result After 30 Minutes: Chelsea at 6/5, while it’s 21/10 for the Blues to Score Over 1.5 First Half Goals.
