Jonjo O’Neill latest to sign-up for the Coral Champions Club roster
Coral sponsoring four races at Chepstow tomorrow
There’s a new addition to the Coral Champions Club, with Jonjo O’Neill the latest to join the roster of trainers – following the purchase of four-year-old mare Annie Mc.
She’ll make her racecourse debut at Chepstow tomorrow in the 3:05 Mares Novices Hurdle.
Jonjo O’Neill joins Tim Vaughan and Coin Tizzard as trainers of Coral Champions Club horses for the forthcoming season, with Tizzard training Battle of Ideas and Vaughan training the un-raced Champions Club.
The Coral Champions Club is a free-to-join Racing Club offering exclusive interviews with a variety of trainers, jockeys and owners.
They also receive ambassador blogs by Joe Tizzard, Jim Crowley and Tom Scudamore, and competitions to win the chance to experience owning the Club horses each time they run.
Speaking to Coral, O’Neill said: “I’m delighted to be training Annie Mc for the Coral Champions Club. She is a lovely mare. She’s big and strong and is going to make a really nice chaser, but we’ll be starting her off over hurdles this season.”
“She’s done everything we’ve asked of her at home and she’s schooled well. She’s ready to go, and this race at Chepstow is the ideal starting point. She’s going to give Club members a lot of fun.”
Coral Spokesperson Simon Clare added: “We have had 15 winners from 75 runners in the Coral Champions Club colours and over 300 members have enjoyed the racehorse owner experience over the last six years.”
“We start this season with three high-quality jumpers, with Battle of Ideas going chasing, and Annie Mc and Champions Club starting out over hurdles.”
