Europa League tips: Arsenal, Celtic and Chelsea all included
Odds and preview for Thursday night’s action
The Europa League returns tonight with a packed schedule and plenty of teams desperate for points.
There’s only one round of Group Stage fixtures after tonight, which means every game counts.
We’ve taken a look at the pick of tonight’s action, starting with Arsenal’s redirected trip to Kiev…
Vorskla Poltava v Arsenal (5:55pm)
There was some doubt over whether this match would go ahead after UEFA moved it to Kiev. But it looks like Unai Emery’s inexperienced travelling party will have the chance to wrap up top spot in Group E.
Vorskla have lost three games in a row without scoring. And they’ve lost home advantage here. The Gunners are 7/4 to win to nil.
Emile Smith-Rowe scored his first Arsenal goal in the club’s last European away game. He’s 13/5 to get another tonight.
Rosenborg v Celtic (5:55pm)
Celtic have beaten Rosenborg three times since the start of last season. The Hoops could take a big step towards qualification with another win at 6/10.
The Norwegian side have lost all four group games so far. They have scored in the two home games so far though. Both Teams to Score is going for 8/11.
James Forrest is on a hot streak of eight goals in eight games for club and country. We go 2/1 that he gets another at the Lerkendal Stadion.
Red Bull Salzburg v RB Leipzig (5:55pm)
Salzburg are on a 27-game unbeaten run and have a 100% record in Group B. They’re 15/8 to keep it going with another victory here.
The Austrian side have scored 11 goals in their last three outings. With Leipzig needing a result to boost their chances of qualification, there’s 6/4 about Over 3.5 Goals.
Chelsea v PAOK (8:00pm)
Maurizio Sarri will demand a better showing from his team after their woeful display against Tottenham Hotspur last week. The Blues are 19/20 on the -1 Handicap.
Olivier Giroud may sniff a chance to jump ahead of Alvaro Morata in the pecking order too. The Frenchman could get in the team to face Fulham on Sunday with a good performance here. He’s 21/20 to get a goal.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also in line for a rare start. We go 2/1 that he gets on the scoresheet.
Rangers v Villarreal (8:00pm)
Group G is very tight, with only two points separating leaders Villarreal from Rapid Wien at the bottom.
Rangers will put themselves in a great position if they get a result here. However, the visitors are unbeaten in five. The draw is available at 13/5.
Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has four goals in his last five appearances. He’s 5/1 to open the scoring at Ibrox.
Eintracht Frankfurt v Marseille (8:00pm)
Eintracht are currently sitting third in the Bundesliga. They’re also one of just four teams with a perfect record so far in the Europa League.
Marseille have lost four of their previous six games coming into this one. You can get Eintracht and Both Teams to Score for 2/1.
