Jim Crowley: “Moyassar has got a great chance”

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

1.50 Newbury – Moyassar

He won at Newmarket last time and was pencilled in to run at York but we decided to keep him to six furlongs. He’s got a great chance. He was very impressive last time and we are very hopeful of a big run.

We also run Khaadem in this and he was very smart last year. It would be no shock if he ran a big race. I chose Moyassar because he has had a run under his belt but there wouldn’t be a lot between the two of them.

2.25 Newbury – Laraaib

Crystal Ocean is going to be hard to beat in this. This looks like a stepping stone for the Prince of Wales. If for any reason he doesn’t have a going day or runs a bit below form then Laraaib will be the one to benefit as I think he’s the second best horse in the race. He’s a proper horse. He ran a really nice race on his seasonal debut, travelled well and then got tired. We are going to learn a bit more about his best trip in this too. We were thinking of running him over further but the way he travelled last time persuaded us to run over this trip. He’s a big horse and he’s only just starting to fill his frame.

3.00 Newbury – Riviera Nights

This is a competitive handicap but my horse is well drawn. I don’t know too much about him and haven’t ridden him before. He ran a decent third last time at Kempton so should have an each way chance.

3.35 Newbury – Mustashry

He’s been working well and should run a big race but it’s a tough race. Laurens is probably the horse they’ve all got to beat. My horse has had a run this year which is in his favour and he ran well giving away weight. I’m hopeful of a good run. I can’t say he’s definitely going to win a Group One but I do think he’ll be there or thereabouts. I’m looking forward to riding him.

4.50 Newbury – Lavender Blue

This is almost an Oaks Trial it’s such a good race. My horse was very impressive at Newmarket. She was quite green that day and it was a good performance. She’s beautifully bred and is bred to be an Oaks filly. I hope she can win this. The form people were very impressed with her win. She’s a nice filly and I’m really looking forward to riding her. Hopefully she’ll win and go on to better things.
