Bet of the Day: Back Wolves to win it at Ashton Gate
Promotion chasers to produce a goal-filled occasion
There’s a huge clash from the Championship this evening as Bristol City host Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves and City are currently battling for the top two automatic promotion places with Wolves topping the table.
A win here over one of their closest challengers would put them nearly out of sight and all-but secure their return to the Premier League.
It’s a huge clash and one Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo will be relishing. However, Bristol City will be no pushovers.
The Robins are undefeated in their last six league games since a 2-1 defeat at Ashton Gate to Preston North End in seven games ago.
Wolves are the best away side in the League, though. The West Midlands outfit have won 67% of their away games and have kept a clean sheet in 58% of them.
It could be a goal-fest
This could be one of the evenest games of the season so far. Both sides will be going toe-to-toe for the win.
There are generally goals when these two teams meet, too. Six of their previous seven league meetings have seen both sides find the net.
And every one of those games saw three or more goals scored.
Expect late drama at the Gate
When either one of these teams plays, there tend to be late goals.
City have scored 33% of their goals after the 75th minute of games. And 32% of the goals Wolves have conceded have also come after the 75th minute.
If either side are pushing for an equaliser or a winner, the game could get quite stretched near the end.
There could have a dramatic finale on our hands in the evening kick-off. It’s Evens the second half is the highest scoring.
