Sports Round Up: Our trader looks at Tuesday’s action
The majority of sport may be at a standstill throughout the world, but there’s still plenty of action to enjoy.
Our senior trader Andrew Wildig has taken a look at what’s on, as the virtual boxing tournament continues.
The WBSS enter day two of their virtual boxing tournament, with Lennox Lewis taking on Joe Frazier in the quarter-final. Lewis boasts an impressive record of 41 wins from 44 professional fights and he has a clear size advantage over Frazier.
Both boxers enjoyed excellent careers in their respective generations and they each won Olympic gold medals 24 years apart. Frazier went all the way at Tokyo in 1964 before Lewis took the gold at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. Lewis goes into the fight as the 4/7 favourite.
Bowls Grand Prix
We’ve reached the final round of the summer season’s second tournament, starting with Kevin Rands v Neil Smith at 08:00. Opponents play each other twice before the top two compete in the final at 14:45. Rands heads the betting as the 8/11 favourite, while nobody is bigger than even money in what should be a day of close competition. Traded live in-play.
MacKenzie Q Prep (AZ) – Wigwam Gold
84 golfers take to the field on the gold course at Wigwam, which is a championship calibre host for the 2020 MacKenzie QScool in Arizona.
Steve Alker remains the favourite at 8/1, although 40/1 shot Michael Weaver has been backed well. The event gets underway at 15:00 and trading will be updated between each round.
