Coral ambassador previews his Saturday rides at Ascot

Ascot 13.50 – Remastered

The shape of this race changed dramatically when neither The Big Breakaway or If The Cap Fits were declared, so it leaves an open-looking Reynoldstown.

My horse does have a bit to find on official ratings but he’s taken to chasing well, winning both of his starts. He’s a horse we’ve always thought a lot of, so it’s great to see him starting to fulfil that potential. As I say, with the race cutting up somewhat, it’s well worth having a go at a good prize.

Ascot 14.25 – Cloudy Glen

This is another nice Saturday ride to pick up for Venetia Williams and [owner] Mr Hemmings, as I’ve enjoyed some good days for both this season.

He’s a strong stayer as he showed when winning the Southern National on his first start of the season, and he probably ran better in the Coral Welsh National last time than the bare result suggests.

He’s back in slightly calmer waters than the big Chepstow race here, and he certainly wouldn’t be hindered by any more rain.

Ascot 15.00 – Kepagge

Kepagge didn’t get the best of runs at Warwick last time, as we got cut off turning for home, and he’s certainly better than he’s shown so far this season.

He’s still a horse with a lot of potential, this is a really competitive race but things haven’t fallen right for him so far this season. He’s another who wouldn’t mind any more rain as well.

Ascot 16.10 – Paricolor

Paricolor has had a terrific season, winning plenty, but the wins have all come in selling company, he’s found it tougher in handicap company. He won’t mind conditions here but he looks off a high enough mark – we’ll give it a good go.

Ascot 16.45 – Whenthepennydrops

Debut run for Whenthepennydrops, but she’s a nicely bred daughter of Kayf Tara who I’m sure will improve for the experience.
