£1 Saturday acca pays £262

Top eight on the highlight of the week
A Saturday football fixture list in full-flight at this time of year, it’s a wonderful thing. There’s everything to play for at both ends of the table in the Premier League, and that’s the case all the way down the ladder. Teams pushing for promotion, fighting for their lives to beat the drop. It’s a great time to be a punter.
Saturday presents us with another chance to hit the jackpot. Small stakes for big rewards, it’s what the football acca is all about, and why we love it! Focussing on the English game, we’ve picked out our eight teams worth having, with every £1 staked paying £262.21. Prices and returns mentioned are correct at the time of writing.
Leicester beat West Brom
Despite putting together a five-match winning run recently, Leicester have fallen off the pace again and are now just six points better than the relegation zone. It shouldn’t come to that, but they have a great chance here to pull clear. West Brom have lost each of their last three, and if Leicester are in the mood, it will be four at a worthwhile 9/5.
Southampton beat Hull
The Tigers are scrapping away to beat the drop, but their best football is played at the KCOM, that has been the case all season, and they shouldn’t get anything against a capable Southampton at St Mary’s. The hosts are targeting a top-eight finish, and will aid their cause here at 8/13.
QPR beat Nottingham Forest
The Hoops have been dragged down towards the danger zone, but must be fancied against a Forest side stuck in a similar predicament. QPR are on a miserable run, and just want to see the end of the season, but this is a must win to avoid a nervy couple of weeks. Home comforts at 6/4.
Reading beat Wigan
The Royals have every chance of finishing third and strengthening their hand in the play-offs. Huddersfield are stuttering in the bronze medal position, and the right set of results here could see Reading pass them in the rankings. Wigan have lost five of their last eight, and are going down. 20/23 does a job.
Preston beat Rotherham
Rotherham won last weekend, to everyone’s shock. Will they do it again? We doubt it. Opponents Preston are no world beaters themselves, and are running down the clock in midtable until their summer break, but they must be fancied at 1/2 on their own patch against bottom of the league.
Fulham beat Brentford
The Cottagers have hit form at exactly the right time, winning each of their last four to push them forward for of top-six finish. The Londoners can’t relax yet though, as they have Leeds snapping away at their heels. With momentum behind them a Fulham win is the smart call at 1/2.
Luton beat Accrington
A meeting of two form sides, but this matters more to Luton, who are chasing third and an extended season. Stanley have been playing well, but without anything to aim at, and will end the season in midtable. Accrington lost last time to Newport, and we support The Hatters at 13/8.
Blackpool beat Notts County
The Seasiders have won their last two, but still have it all to do if they are to hold their ground and finish in the play-off places, the chasing pack just two points behind. Take them to boost their tally by three here, at 11/10.
