Former Leicester City boss 9/4 to replace Nigel Pearson
After Nigel Pearson was relieved from his duties as Watford manager, Claude Puel has been placed as the favourite to replace him at Vicarage Lane.
The former Leicester City boss is currently at the helm of Ligue 1 side Saint-Étienne but is the 9/4 favourite to fill the role of Hornets manager.
Chris Hughton is the second favourite for the job at 5/1, with the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager still looking for a new managerial role after his sacking from the Seagulls in May 2019.
Elsewhere, Sam Allardyce is 8/1 to take over at Watford, while John Terry, the current Aston Villa assistant manager, is 10/1 to get his inaugural first-team managerial role.
Coral’s John Hill said: “Former Leicester City boss Claude Puel tops the betting to pick up the reins at Watford with just two games to go in their Premier League season.”
“Chris Hughton, Sam Allardyce and John Terry are also prominent in the betting to take over from Nigel Pearson,” added Hill.
9/4 Claude Puel, 5/1 Chris Hughton, 8/1 Sam Allardyce, Danny Cowley, 10/1 John Terry, Hayden Mullins, 12/1 Mark Hughes
