Could Conor Coady to return to Liverpool in January?

CORAL ENHANCED ACCAS

The Premier League champions are short of options at the back

Wolves defender Conor Coady could be set for a return to Liverpool, according to our odds.

The 27-year-old started his career at Anfield, making just two appearances before joining Huddersfield in 2014.

But Coady’s impressive form for Wolves, combined with Liverpool’s defensive injury crisis, has seen him priced at 3/1 to make the move in January.

Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are expected to miss much of the season and Jurgen Klopp may dip into the market for reinforcements. Brighton’s Ben White could be an option at 4/1.

“Liverpool may have no other option but to splash the cash on a defender in January,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“If they do, our betting suggests they are likely to sign from the Premier League, with Conor Coady their most likely signing.

“Ben White is another player who is prominent in the betting to switch to Liverpool in January as he continues to shine for Brighton.”
