Manchester City v Everton betting tips: Aguero can go out on a high
Preview and odds for Sunday’s match
Manchester City have produced plenty of entertainment since being crowned champions and reaching the Champions League final and the 10,000 fans returning to the Etihad Stadium will hope that continues against Everton.
City will use this as their final game to prepare for next weekend’s Champions League final while Everton still have an outside chance of qualifying for the inaugural Europa Conference League.
Sunday’s match is live on Sky Sports and kicks off at 4pm as we highlight a few potential Manchester City v Everton betting tips.
Manchester City v Everton match odds
Everton have a greater need for points and start the final day level with seventh-placed Tottenham, although with an inferior goal difference.
City are 4/9 favourites for a 27th win of the season but have lost three of their last six matches and have conceded in five of those, having thrown away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at Brighton on Tuesday.
Everton were 1-0 winners against Wolves on Wednesday, though, which was the fifth time in six outings that under 1.5 goals has paid out. Another low-scoring match to add to that tally is 17/5.
Manchester City v Everton head-to-head
Everton have had no joy against City in recent seasons having suffered seven straight defeats in all competitions.
Four of those have been 3-1, including at Goodison Park earlier this season, and a repeat can be backed at 10/1.
The most recent meeting was in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in March when City needed until the 84th minute to break the deadlock but late goals from Ilkay Gundogan and substitute Kevin De Bruyne proved decisive.
Everton: Pickford, Keane, Digne, Mina, Godfrey, Coleman, Allan, Sigurdsson, Doucoure, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.
City defender John Stones will be up against his former team if selected and tasked with keeping Dominic Calvert-Lewin quiet, with the Everton striker joint-fifth in the goals chart with 16.
This will be Sergio Aguero’s last Premier League appearance for City and he is 7/2 to score the last goal of the match as he says farewell to the Etihad Stadium faithful.
