Premier League 20/21 Preview: Title favourites, relegation & top goalscorer odds
The latest odds ahead of the new season
With the new Premier League campaign set to kick-off this weekend, we could be in for a season like no other.
The games will still take place behind closed doors for now, and the condensed schedule means the games will come thick and fast.
It all gets started with Fulham v Arsenal in Saturday’s early game, but before then, we’ve rounded up all of the key odds for you.
Despite finishing 18 points behind Liverpool last time around, our traders think Manchester City will come back stronger this term. Pep Guardiola’s side are odds-on favourites to reclaim the title at 8/11.
It looks like it’ll be a two-horse race this year – Liverpool are 2/1 to defend their crown, while third-favourites Chelsea are back at 10/1.
If City (1/20) and Liverpool (1/14) take two of the top-four places, there’s set to be plenty of competition for the remaining two Champions League spots.
Our traders have Man Utd (2/5) and Chelsea (4/9) both odds-on to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal are next up at 5/2, with North London rivals Spurs a 3/1 shot – they’ll be looking to take a step forwards in Mikel Arteta and Jose Mourinho’s first full seasons at their respective clubs.
If someone from outside the ‘big six’ is going to break in, it may well be Wolves at 6/1. After just missing out last term, Leicester City are 13/2, with big-spending Everton at 16/1.
Our odds suggest Fulham and West Bromwich Albion’s return to the top tier may be short-lived – they’re both Evens to go back down.
Aston Villa are 15/8 to be relegated after narrowly missing the drop last season, while Crystal Palace and Newcastle are both 9/4.
Then it’s Burnley next at 10/3, before Brighton & Hove Albion, Leeds United, West Ham United and Sheffield United all at 7/2.
Mo Salah has won the Golden Boot in two of his three years at Liverpool. He’s 9/2 to win it again and complete the hat-trick.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be his closest challenger at 5/1. The Arsenal captain has scored more goals than any other Premier League player since his arrival (71).
Usual suspects Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero are at 6/1 and 15/2 respectively. New Chelsea forward Timo Werner is 8/1 to finish top, while last year’s winner Jamie Vardy is 14/1 to repeat his triumph.
