Can you name the 24 players to win the award since the 1992/93 season?

Football may be a team game, but that doesn’t mean influential individuals can’t receive extra recognition, does it?

The Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year is an annual award given to the player adjudged to have been the best on the field in that season. It’s been around from the 1947/48 season where Blackpool’s Stanley Matthews was the first recipient, with 72 editions in total.

The award has been given out every season since the inception of the Premier League back in the 1992/93 season, with two only repeat winners, meaning there are 24 different winners across the 27 completed seasons.

We’re putting your knowledge to the test here. Think you can name all 24 winners in five minutes?
