Roy Keane odds-on favourite to be Celtic’s next manager
Former player could return to Celtic Park
Roy Keane is odds-on at 1-2 to be the next Celtic manager, according to our odds.
The former Republic of Ireland and Manchester United midfielder has been a regular pundit on Sky Sports with his last coaching role a six-month spell as assistant manager at Nottingham Forest in 2019.
John Kennedy was placed in caretaker charge of Celtic following Neil Lennon’s departure in February and Keane is fancied to return to the club he served as a player in the summer.
“Roy Keane had a brief spell at Celtic as a player at the back end of his career and if the betting is anything to go by, he could be set for a return to Glasgow to take over as manager in the summer,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“John Kennedy has a contract until the end of the season, but it is Keane who is the odds-on favourite to take over ahead of the start of the 2021/22 SPL campaign,” added Hill.
