StableTalk: Dan Skelton talks through his 14 weekend runners

| 15.01.2017

Dan Skelton blog on weekend runners at Kempton, Warwick, Wetherby and Fakenham There’s a lot been said and written in reaction to the news that Kempton Park is to be closed by Jockey Club Racecourses. The problem I feel is that professionals feel (and are all encouraged to act) as stakeholders in Racing, and the races, fixtures and the venues, and therefore we are all entitled to our opinions on a... more...

Saturday 12.40 Newbury – Welsh Shadow We’ve put a tongue strap on Welsh Shadow. This is a very competitive novices’ handicap chase and he’s got to put a bad run behind him but I hope he can do that. It was a terrible shame early this week that the yard lost Baradari. He was such a nice horse with a great character so he going to be missed. Any death, regardless of the horse, always hits the yard. Sadly these things do happen but they are never easy. I am upset for the owner Andrew Brooks and his family more than anyone else because he was going to be a big timer for them. It’s the cruel side ... more...
