Sports Schedule: Friday 17th April

A look ahead to the best sport on offer this Friday

We’ve got more racing and darts action on offer, as well as plenty of football from Belarus. The world of Esports continues too, plus more in Thursday’s round-up of sport.

All of these events are still scheduled to go ahead at the time of writing:

Horse Racing

There’s early action from Australia with six meetings across the course of the morning, including Gold Coast, Port Macquarie, Kyneton and Orange. At more sociable hours you can also find racing from Sunshine Coast from 08:15, and Cranbourne from 08:25.

There’s more racing to enjoy in Sweden, with meets at Solvalla (from 11:20)  and Umaker (from 17:20).

In the evening, there are more cards across the pond, with racing from Tampa Bay Downs starting at 17:24, before Gulfstream at 18:00.

Football

The Belarusian Premier League continues apace with a bottom of the table clash, as bottom side Belshina take on Smolevichi. It looks like it could be a tight game too, with Belshina priced at 27/20 to win, with Smolevichi at 21/10.

The evening’s other game sees Soligorsk v Slutsk. while the latter are currently flying high in the table, Soligorsk are heavy 2/5 favourites to win, while Slutsk can be backed at 15/2.

There’s also one game from the Belarusian 1st Division, as FC Lokomotiv Gomel are 1/12 favourites to beat FK Khimik Svetlogorsk who are 28/1 to take the tie.

Darts

It’s opening night of the new PDC Home Tour Event, with big names in action, including 2020 World Champion Peter Wright, who takes on Peter Jacques in the opener. The other competitors include Jamie Lewis and 21-year-old Dutchman Niels Zonneveld. All four players will face each other during the day in a best-of-nine leg format.

Both Modus events continue today too, with ‘Icon of Darts’ in the afternoon, where both Jason Askew and Paul Nicholson have looked strong throughout the week. ‘Night at the Darts’ will resume in the evening.

Snooker

The Armenian Snooker Championship starts up again on Friday morning from 7:00, with three matches lined up.

There’s also action from Six Red Spring Cup, where each player will compete in the best of three frames with just six reds on the table.

Esports

In Counter-Strike: Global Offensive the Home Sweet Home Cup continues, as Gambit Youngsters at 2/3 take on Copenhagen Flames at 11/10, before SKADE face Endpointwith both teams priced at 5/6.

There’s also League of Legends fixtures from China’s LPL and Korea’s LCK. In the latter at 10:00, don’t miss the Jin Air Green Wings priced at 3/2 as they take on Element Mystic who can be backed at 1/2.
