Tyson Fury 6/4 favourite to win 2020 Sports Personality of the Year
Undefeated WBC Heavyweight champion leads the 2020 list
WBC Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury is the 6/4 favourite to be crowned the 2020 Sports Personality of the Year.
Fury’s seventh round TKO of Deontay Wilder in February to win the WBC Heavyweight world title remains one of the best sporting performances this year, and it could help the 31-year-old Mancunian win his first Sports Personality title.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Tyson’s victory over Deontay Wilder back in February is the stand-out sporting performance of an interrupted 2020, and he’s the worthy favourite to be crowned Sports Personality of the Year this winter.”
Elsewhere, Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has been placed as the 3/1 second favourite to win the award after his outstanding contributions off the pitch.
“Rashford has done amazing work off the pitch, and is in the frame, whilst Jordan Henderson is sure to be nominated having lifted the Premier League title,” added Aitkenhead.
Lewis Hamilton is battling for a record-equalling seventh Formula One world championship, and he’s 4/1 to claim his second Sports Personality of the Year award, after winning his first in 2014.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson can be found at 8/1 having helped the Reds to their first Premier League title, and their first top-flight success in 30 years.
6/4 Tyson Fury, 3/1 Marcus Rashford, 4/1 Lewis Hamilton, 8/1 Jordan Henderson, 12/1 Sir Tom Moore, 16/1 Joe Wicks, 20/1 Ronnie O’Sullivan
