Darts Trader’s Tips: PDC Home Tour – Friday 1st May
Odds and preview for tonight’s matches
We’ve got Friday night darts to look forward to, as Group 15 are next up at the oche in the PDC Home Tour.
Tonight’s action features Darren Webster, Bradley Brooks, Scott Baker and Andy Hamilton. Webster is the highest-ranked of the four players, but will he deliver?
Before the arrows start flying, our senior trader Edward Saunders has given us his thoughts…
Darren Webster v Bradley Brooks (19.30)
Tonight’s action kicks-off with the 51-year-old Webster up against the promising Brooks.
Ranked 26th in the world, Webster is the 6/4 favourite to win the whole evening and Brooks the 4/1 underdog. With that in mind, Webster goes off as strong favourite at 4/9 to win.
However, Brooks can be great to watch, if a little erratic. He’s favourite to hit most 180s at 7/5 and 11/8 to hit 2 or more.
Scott Baker v Andy Hamilton (20.00)
In the second match, Scott ‘The Mod’ Baker faces Andy ‘The Hammer’ Hamilton. Hamilton has the edge in terms of experience, but with Scott having the first-throw advantage in the first leg, it’s very hard to call. Both are 5/6 to win the match.
Despite having the darts, Baker is the outsider to hit the first 180 of the match at 11/10.
Bradley Brooks v Andy Hamilton (20.30)
The youngest and oldest competitors in Group 15 face-off in the third match. To put it in context, Hamilton threw his first dart 19 years before Bradley was born.
The Hammer again throws second, which means we could be in for a close game. If that is the case, Brooks can be backed at 4/1 to sneak the match 5-4 with his youthful energy.
