The McLaren driver could be on the move next year
Carlos Sainz is the clear favourite to replace Sebastien Vettel when he leaves Ferrari at the end of the year.
The German announced yesterday that he’ll leave Ferrari at the end of the current season after contract talks between the two parties broke down.
Sainz is the odds-on favourite at 1/3 to fill the four-time world champion’s void and make the switch from McLaren.
Meanwhile, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has seen his odds drop from 25/1 to 12/1 in the last 24 hours.
“Carlos Sainz is now the clear odds-on favourite to replace Sebastian Vettel as the second driver at Ferrari in 2021,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“In what would be a huge shake up in F1, Lewis Hamilton has also had his odds slashed by more than half to switch to Ferrari next year.”
