Perfect start to IPA Tour with thriller in Cardiff

| 08.03.2017

I am always wary of being seen as “bigging up” the IPA but luckily for me the players did it on my behalf in Cardiff this weekend, with three new winners crowned and perhaps the best atmosphere yet. The IPA Tour starred for 2017 at the classy Mercure Hotel and with twenty-four pool tables brushed ironed and ready for action, those of us not good enough to compete could soak it all up and enjoy.  W... more...

With an important announcement just around the corner involving the continued and long-term involvement as Coral as IPA’s betting partners, the atmosphere at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwick ahead of the European Open was electric to put it mildly. With each pool tournament covering a full three days, Friday is always important with players looking to qualify for the rest of the weekend, but nothing much noteworthy took place and Saturday night saw the first of the Coral English Open finals, which went on long into the night. At the semi-final stage, we were left with an all-professional line-up, proving yet again that only the very best des... more...
